The Joint-venture performance programme is online!

During Manifesta 11, Cabaret Voltaire will be transformed into a guildhall for artists called Cabaret der Künstler – Zunfthaus Voltaire. It is inspired by traditional guilds, where likeminded people collectively represent their profession. The Cabaret der Künstler – Zunfthaus Voltaire will be home to the newly founded Guild of Artists.

In so called joint-venture performances each artist, who wishes to join the guild will work together with one person from another profession to make a performance on the stage of Cabaret der Künstler – Zunfthaus Voltaire. Everyone who realizes a joint-venture performance will become a member of the gender-neutral guild of artists and will be able to see all following performances.

Founding member of the guild of artists are among others Thomas Hirschhorn, Gianni Motti, Christian Jankowski and Manon. Zunftmeister (president) is the swiss artist Manuel Scheiwiller.

The deadline for submitting proposals has for now expired. Please do not apply anymore. If you are still keen on performing and becoming a member of the guild of artists; The stage in Cabaret der Künstler – Zunfthaus Voltaire is welcoming Spontaneous Performers every Wednesday from 20.00–22.00 and from Thursday/Friday/Saturday form 20.00–21/22.00.

Bring a handmade drawing or handwritten concept on a vertical A4 page, show it to the Zunftmeister and if it fits the guidelines of a joint-venture performance you will be welcome to participate.
